ever hesitant....

ever hesitant
ever hesitant
as the moon gazes at you
the bluejay calls
knowing full well no one is there
but you

snow falls
the bluejay is gone
dawn sparkles on the horizon
suddenly, the sun!
it chases away the moons cool gaze
and you are alone

oh, but wait!
Is the sun smiling at you?
now you know it means well
you smile back at it
are you still alone?
